This is the third revision of the website mindsinplay.com. I will rebuild the site in 3 stages. The first stage is an art gallery (1) displaying a sample of recently completed paintings and a second gallery (2) of older art. The second rebuilding stage will include; fiction (stories that explore mind/brain science themes) and non-fiction vignettes based on current neuroscience research. The last stage of the rebuilding process will include mind/brain science projects that involve collaboration with other neuroscientists.
Beneath each painting on display is: the title of the painting; the medium used in its creation; it’s size; the status of the painting (part of the collection of other galleries); sold; or for sale through this website (including price).
A neuroscience art journal can be yours (downloaded) on request (see email address below). Each page of the journal displays a piece of art and a neuroscience comment. A few sample pages are displayed on a website post.
In my view, the creative process expressed in science, art, and storytelling share much in common. All three perspectives can further our understanding of the nature of minds/brains at work. Writers and artists often have taught us as much about our brains as neuroscientists.
